PSG gives hope for Tiny Hearts: with Complex Pediatric Heart Transplants.

Heart and Lungs end stage disease can be due to multiple long standing cause or it can be due to sudden onset of a disease which can significantly affect the normal functioning of the most vital organs.

Heart diseases , the leading cause of death in among the Non communicable diseases , can worsen to an extent that can cause heart failure.

The prevalence of Heart failure is highly underestimated that it is most often identified in the terminal stage . An entity called Heart Failure with preserved Ejection fraction (HFprEF) contributes to more than 40 % of the Heart Failure population and is most often overlooked by the physicians.

The Heart , a biological pump that perfuses all the other vital organs, many times the inefficiency of the pump can be reflected as , high pulmonary (lungs) blood pressure since its connected in series with Heart, poor functioning of other organs like Kidney or can complicate with Stroke. Heart Transplantaion is offered to failing Heart once the patient is refractory to all the supportive cardiac medications

End stage Lung disease is not uncommon , and the Covid-19 pandemic has shown the whole world how serious an End stage Lung disease can be. Failing Lungs can affect the Right Heart and can cause failure of Heart too. Timely intervention of the Lung disease is utmost important to spare the heart.

Heart and Lungs , the Twin brothers are completely interdependent and failure of one organ can cause failure of other too…
